6. Intra-BIPOC Violence
An often undiscussed topic between People of Colour, what does intra-BIPOC violence look like today?
A large and complex topic, intra-BIPOC violence is not to be underestimated as a source of grief for many People of Colour. It is easier sometimes to hold Whiteness accountable for our frustrations and grievances. However, there are still many ways in which different Colour communities pull each other down. The prevalence of anti-Blackness in some POC cultures, the role and impact of colourism, the model minority myth - these are all examples that are mentioned in the below resources and are still only a small part of a much larger and difficult list.Â
